Frequently Asked Questions

Does cropping reduce image quality?

No. Cropping simply keeps the selected region and discards the rest — the pixels inside your selection stay exactly as sharp as in the original.

Which aspect-ratio presets are available?

Built-in presets include 1:1 square (avatars), 4:3 standard, 16:9 widescreen, 3:4 portrait, 9:16 mobile fullscreen and 2.35:1 cinematic, plus free-form dragging for any custom size.

Can different images use different crop areas?

Batch cropping currently uses one shared region: the box you set on the current image is applied to all of them. If each image needs its own crop, process them in separate batches.

What format is the cropped image saved in?

The original format is preserved — a cropped PNG stays PNG and a cropped JPG stays JPG. Use the site's Convert tool if you need a format change.

Are my images uploaded to a server?

No. The entire cropping process runs locally in your browser, so images never leave your device.

Does it work on mobile?

Yes. The page is optimized for touch — open it in a mobile browser and drag the crop box directly, no app required.
